• Spatial Relations

        

  Categories of spatial relationships among objects: topological and geometric (incl. proximal and directional). Topological relationships are used as a method for analyzing spatial relations and some kinds of patterns in GIS. The semantics of the topological relationships have the following categories:

  • equivalence (equal)
  • partial equivalence (overlap, cross)
  • containment (inside)
  • adjacency (connected, or meets)
  • separateness (disjoint)
