• Open https://sentinel2explorer.esri.com and login with your ArcGIS Online account
  • Find and zoom to your area of interest (AoI)
  • Use the Identify (i) function and select the Scatter Plot option
  • Choose pairs of bands (like Green and NIR) for the x and y plot axes, and set the image extent to an area with distinct land cover types, e.g. an agricultural region with a mix of green and fallow fields, or a mix of grassland and forest
  • Click on various locations in the image and see where these pixels are located in the Scatter Plot
  • Next, draw a polygon around regions in the Scatter Plot and observe highlighting of sets of corresponding pixels in the image

Consider and discuss how this leads you towards a classification of land cover types in the image, and what it means that any Scatter Plot in this application only allows to work with two bands at a time.
