1. Overview

This lesson provides a broad-based discussion of some fundamental concepts and principles supporting the standardization of open geospatial standards, and an overview of important specifications introduced in more depth in the subsequent lessons.

Before continuing, you are encouraged to first follow the lecture in this lesson. 

2. OGC and SDI

The Opengeospatial Consortium (OGC) is providing the specifications needed, and used, for the implementation of Spatial Data Infrastructures worldwide. The attached brief brochure provides an initial overview of the link of OGC work with national and regional infrastructures.

3. OGC eLearning
