Research methodology and scientific communication

In this lesson we will focus on the history of science and how science has developed over time. We will discuss about the definition of the word "science" and "scientist". We will also talk about the most known philosophers in science, like Galileo, Hume, Popper,..) and finally we will discuss about theories of science, in particular

1. positivism
2. hermeneutics
3. critical rationalism
4. action-theoretical approach

After working on this lesson you will also understand the difference between fundamental research and applied research.
